Hysteric Mini, located off Cat Street in Harajuku, doesn’t stray far from the pop-culture inspired designs of its parent brand, Hysteric Glamour. The Japanese luxury brand extends its rock-and-roll themed collections down to tots, designing ultra hip and trendy pieces for preschoolers and even infants. With rocker themed leather jackets, brightly patterned hoodies, vintage logo tees, and small hair accessories to choose from, it is certain your little ones will earn a few shouts of, “Kawaii!” as they stroll down the street in their Hysteric Mini gear.

Upon arrival, you will find a huge rendering of the Hysteric Mini displayed on the boutique’s storefront. It’s difficult to miss the blonde haired baby sporting a topknot, diaper and oversized retro shades. This is just one example of the tongue-and-cheek humor of this popular kids’ brand. The adorable character can be found on most of the clothing—along with her fellow cartoon friends. The brightly colored patterns and graphic prints are signature to the brand and used on most of the merchandise. Find character covered totes, beanies, dolls, fashion accessories and even iPhone covers.

The hipster styles come with a pretty price tag for a tot, with a hooded sweatshirt starting at ¥12,390. However, the high-end cottons and technical fabrics used in each garment ensure superior quality and extra mileage for a possible hand-me-down.
