If you've ever wondered what's like to attend an Oscars afterparty, now is your chance to find out. Following a hugely successful "night at Gatsby's mansion" last year, Tokyo DJ and event producer Guy Perryman is back with another Black Card Cabaret event. This year's theme is "a night in Hollywood," and the party promises to be just as glitzy and glamourous as the last one.

Guests to the Black Card Cabaret will be treated to elements of an Oscar night party, with a red carpet reception and the feeling of being in an exclusive movie star filled night club or a sumptuous private party up in Beverly Hills. The event takes place in six separate spaces on the 27th floor of the opulent Shangri-La Hotel, and guests are free to move about freely between rooms, taking in the different simultaneous performances and activities as they wish.

In the ballroom, there will be cabaret performances, Greg Irwin’s Hollywood tribute, Donna Burke singing her recent hit theme song from award-winning game Metal Gear Solid, and the final round of a singing competition. Later on in the night, Ilana Labourene will channel Audrey Hepburn, Phil McQueen will return to the stage and reprise his smash performance with Tokyo International Players as a sweet transvestite, Fräulein Sorcha will channel Marlene Dietrich and Sally Bowles, DJ Bambi will play swinging soundtracks with a burlesque performance, and finally Guy Perryman himself will play showbiz razzmatazz with the Steven Haynes Dancers.

In the Moet & Chandon champagne salon there will of course be free-flowing bubbles, and a Hollywood glamour soundtrack will get guests in the mood to dance and party the night away. Guests can also bid on great prizes in a silent auction, and try their luck at the gaming tables in the casino lounge, where David Hal Chester and James Fields will tickle the ivories on the grand piano.

At the Miraval gallery, sample some of the free-flowing Miraval Rosé wine from the vineyards of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie while also taking in the inspiring Hollywood Meets Refugees photographic exhibition. Live music includes Nahid the Persian songstress, Kev Gray’s Swish Lounge Trio and Hadi the Indonesian crooner.

The dress code for the evening is “red carpet superstar,” so break out the bling and get ready to shine! Nothing is too over-the-top for a night out in Hollywood.

This fantastic event includes four hours of entertainment, free flow champagne and wine throughout the night, a finger food buffet, and memories to last a lifetime. But the best part is, it’s all for a good cause, as proceeds will benefit Refugees International Japan (RIJ). For more information about the event, click here.
