Summer in Tokyo only seems to be ramping up. This Obon weekend, join the fun at any of the festivals happening around town. From Minato Mirai to Shimokitazawa and Sangenjaya, the choice is yours!

Barbie Movie Night
Our staff will be going out to watch the new Barbie movie and you’re invited to join us. We’ll be wearing GaijinPot staff T-shirts, which just happen to be a very Barbie shade of pink! The first three people who RSVP will also get a free movie ticket. Everyone else is responsible for buying their own ticket. To The Samba Beat
Sancha Latin Festival
Head to Sangenjaya this weekend for the annual Sancha Latin Festival where you'll see various live shows, food stalls, and of course, the Sunday Samba Parade held on the main streets of Sangenjaya. Not as big as the Asakusa Samba Festival, but this one's worth a go too!

Minato Mirai Bon Odori
The largest summer festival in the Minato Mirai area, this bon odori stage attracts nearly 20,000 visitors every year. Feel the ocean breeze and have a glass of cold beer as you listen to the sound of taiko drums and bon dance tunes. A great way to end a pleasant date in Yokohama!

Tokyo Tower's Milky Way Illumination

Worth The Climb
Takao Beer Mount
Just a short walk from the end of the Mount Takao cable car station, the Mount Takao Beer Mount will open again this year at an observation facility with an altitude of 488 meters.
