Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, Joelle moved to Japan in her twenties and never looked back. Working in education for many years, she took a break to raise her son and now is back teaching part-time. Joelle loves hiking and photography in her free time and is always keen to get outside on a new micro-adventure with her young son and her camera.
