Gilt Pop-Up Shop, Omotesando

Today, Gilt Japan's first-ever physical pop-up shop will open at Montoak cafe in Omotesando, allowing customers a rare chance to see and feel the merchandise in person, before making a purchase online. But the store will only be open for three days and the product selection will change daily, so this is a good thing to put on your agenda for the weekend.

Each day of the pop-up, the offering will be curated around a theme, focusing on different areas of New York City. Today will be an uptown, 5th Avenue theme, tomorrow is Tribeca and Sunday is Soho. There will be a variety of international brands featured—roughly 20 brands per day—and staff will be on hand with iPads to assist customers in placing their orders if necessary (a great option if you aren’t used to navigating online shopping sites in Japanese).
