International School of the Sacred Heart, Hiroo

Conveniently located in Hiroo, International School of the Sacred Heart (ISSH) is an English speaking school for girls from Grade 1 through Grade 12, and a co-educational kindergarten for three- to five-year-olds. The purpose is to serve the English speaking community in the Tokyo area. The school offers an international program based primarily on curriculums from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

What is it that makes Sacred Heart special? It is a school that inspires hearts and minds; nurtures a passion for learning and zest for life; prepares women for the world; and provides wise freedom to encourage responsible choices.

In December 2011 ISSH opened a new gymnasium, kindergarten and junior school building. Even though the school is 105 years old and has a long history here in Tokyo, this new building was a new beginning for ISSH, a great opportunity for a fresh start.
