Magnolia Bakery Pop-Up Shop in Shibuya

If you have a penchant for sugary baked goods in pastel colors and find yourself in the Shibuya area over the next couple of weeks, be sure to stop into the Hikarie building to pick up a treat from Magnolia Bakery's first-ever pop-up shop.

For those unfamiliar with Magnolia Bakery, it’s a popular New York-based bake shop that became famous worldwide after being featured in movies and television shows such as “Sex and the City” and “Gossip Girl.” The first Japan location opened in Omotesando last June.

The Shibuya Hikarie pop-up, located on the second basement floor of the building, will sell a selection of cupcakes, cheesecake, cookies, bars and other confections. There will even be a couple of new items that, for the duration of the pop-up, will only be available there. These include blueberry lemon cupcakes (¥480) and mini coconut cream pies (¥280). If either of these sound like they’ll satisfy your sweet tooth, be sure to make your way to Shibuya before the shop closes!
