Xmas Art Festa 2016
"Ginza galleries," a voluntary organization consisting of 37 galleries in the Ginza area, is launching a special festive event for art appreciators. "Xmas Art Festa" will have each participating gallery host the visitors with special exhibitions which showcase various artworks, from museum-class masterpieces such as Georges Rouault, Fujita, Kitaoji Rosanjin to approachable small works, from traditional pictures or potteries to contemporary arts. Among the participating galleries are Gallery Harota Fine Art, Taimei Gallery, Monji Fine Art Gallery and Gallery Nii Tokyo.

The Underground Mysteries 2016

The Underground Mysteries is a joint project by Tokyo Metro and puzzle event creator Scrap that will have you scratch your head as you explore some of Tokyo's best locations. Your goal? Solve the final question on the puzzle guidebook included in the game kit to officially call yourself Japan's Sherlock Holmes.

A True Festive Experience
Yokohama Akarenga Christmas Market
Held for the seventh time this year, the Akarenga Christmas market is one of the biggest of its kind around Tokyo, gathering tens of thousands of visitors annually. A great place to visit for shopping, eating and sightseeing, as well as experience a true Christmas feeling with a giant Christmas tree, hot wine, seasonal ornaments and even snow. Santa Claus will also be making an appearance on every Wednesday and Saturday while the market is on.
