Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival
The largest Tanabata event in the whole country, this three-day festival is jam-packed with lively events, including its famous 1,000-people-parade, giant dinosaur robot displays, rock-climbing for kids and lots and lots of food. The Shonan Star Mall shopping area will also be decorated with large colorful streamers that cascade from the ceiling, making it an amazing photo spot. Crowded for sure, but definitely worth visiting!

Yoyogi Park’s Ocean Peoples
Craving for a beach vacation? This sea-themed festival in Yoyogi Park is packed with around 30 food booths, beer gardens and a beach culture market. Shop as you groove to the live ocean tunes by local and international artists.

Peru National Festival

Eco Edo Nihonbashi Festival
Taste, touch, smell, eat, and hear the modernized Edo culture in Nihonbashi this summer. You can also take the night cruise decorated with Japanese goldfish lanterns to watch the beautiful city skyline at night.

Wish Upon The Stars
Shitamachi Tanabata Festival
Located near Asakusa, this event is another festival inspired by the Tanabata love story. The highlight of the festival is the exciting parade held throughout the weekend. Enjoy the street performances, marching bands and dance parades. The fun doesn't end after the parade, though: there will be plenty of food stalls, craft markets and other festival games.

Colors Of The Wind
Ikegami Honmonji Temple's 500 Wind Chimes
Wind chimes in Japan mean more than just bells: they connect people to nature and they are also believed to cast away evil spirits. This weekend, 500 wind chimes will be hung around the Ikegami Honmonji Temple for visitors to experience nature's sounds and take a few memorable "Japan only" shots.
