This annual fundraising event benefits "Shine On Kids," a Tokyo-based foundation helping children with cancer and other serious diseases through innovative programs. Kyu-Furukawa Gardens Rose Festival

Nihonbashi-Kyobashi Festival & Market
Held for the 45th consecutive year, this is a must-go event for anyone eager to explore the diversity of Japanese culture. Dancers from all around Japan will gather in the streets of Nihonbashi to perform regional dances, from Tokushima's Awa Odori to Okinawa's taiko dance in a parade of 2,000 participants. Designart 2017

The opening day will feature a special edition of PechaKucha Night, while Omotesando welcomes Noritaka Tatehana, the designer of Lady Gaga's wild pair of heel-less shoes.
