Art, Culture, And Fun In The City
Friday, November 3, is Culture Day in Japan and the lineup for this week gives us plenty of opportunities to celebrate Japan and other countries' cultures in various ways — from a world-renowned sake tasting event and a classical concert, to a traditional Yosakoi dance festival and a glimpse of the last scenes of the Tokyo International Film Festival. Culture & Dance
Dream Yosakoi Matsuri
Japan's very own traditional dance is now known worldwide, and this event aims to further spread the joy of Yosakoi. Held also at Times Square, New York in 2003, this year, the festival celebrates its 16th anniversary. Come witness 80 teams from all around the nation gather in Tokyo to perform in one of Japan's largest yosakoi festivals―you'll even get a chance to dance with them!

German Feast
Deutschland Fest 2017
In an event held annually to celebrate the friendship between Japan and Germany, Roppongi welcomes anyone for sausages, pretzels, bread, and of course, beer. The highlights of the event are the Jodlerin performance and the popular beer glass lifting competition. Free and paid workshops are also available, where you can learn more about craft beer and candle making.

Sake Go Round
The Joy of Sake (*Event is over)
The Joy of Sake, the world’s most popular sake tasting outside Japan, returns to Tokyo this Wednesday with 381 premium labels from every sake-brewing region of Japan. Sake-fit (read "exquisite") food will be served by 14 renowned restaurants in Japan — including several Michelin-winning famous diners. The event falls in the middle of the week, but it won't be around for some time again, so don't miss out!

The Power Of Music
Brahms German Requiem (*Event is over)
End the month with a classical concert that's too good to be missed out. Johannes Brahms' much loved and deeply profound work, The German Requiem, is being brought to life in Tokyo thanks to internationally renowned soloists from Austria, Iceland and Japan. Under the baton of Maestro Robert Ryker, over 200 singers and orchestra members will create a powerful harmony to celebrate the night. The post-concert cultural reception will be a great opportunity to meet musicians and music-lovers from around the world.

Toranomon Hills "Elle Cinema Night"
Prepare your blankets and popcorn for a perfect way to spend your evening, in other words watching a movie in the open air. Tokyo International Film Festival 2017
The only Japanese film festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations is back again this year, bringing films from around the world to Tokyo.
