Treasure Hunting
Yoyogi Oedo Antique Market
Set in the south side of Yoyogi Park, this treasure hunting spot is a smaller one than its parent market, the Oedo Antique Market, which is held at the Tokyo International Forum in Yurakucho. Yet, with 150 stalls, it is large enough to find what you're looking for, so don't hesitate to drop by. Most of the goods are Japanese, antique, vintage and old.

Probably one of the strangest exhibitions ever held in Tokyo, the Nioi-ten (or, literally, Smell Exhibition) explores the different kinds of smells (good and bad ones) that we're exposed to daily or occasionally (like, when we travel to Sweden for its infamous Surströmming). If you're into checking out the difference between stinky shoes, fermented food and rare stinky fish, stop by at this exhibition. Uh, and don't forget to bring a handkerchief.

World of Marimekko
Marimekko Spirit Elamantapa
Renowned Finnish brand Marimekko’s original prints and vivid colors are loved by people around the world. This exhibition is all about examining how Marimekko is incorporated into cultures and everyday settings. Not only does it introduce the history Marimekko has built up through designed patterns, it explores the fusion of the Japanese and Finnish culture and the relation between the two countries through design. Installations include a Marimekko style Japanese tea ceremony room and a Finnish sauna built in the middle of a Japanese garden.
