Walk The Pink Carpet
Chichibu Shibazakura 2018
Head to Hitsujiyama Park in Chichibu for an alternative, yet equally mesmerizing hanami experience: shibazakura, or moss phlox. The annual Chichibu Shibazakura Festival features some 400,000 fully bloomed moss phlox arranged in various shapes and swirls that stretch over four acres of the Shibazakura Hill, creating a scene right out of a painting. The festival runs until May, but the sooner you go the better!

Breast Cancer Awareness
Pink Ribbon Walk 2018
Held for the 17th consecutive year, Pink Ribbon Walk is an annual event organized by the Japan Society of Breast to spread information about breast cancer. This year, participants can choose from a 2-, 6- or 10-km walk or a 6-km fun run in Odaiba, which is now covered with some 170 thousand tulips. The main event venue will also be equipped with various booths, including the Pink Ribbon Donut Cafe, a photo booth, and a mammography info booth. Invite a couple of friends, come dressed in pink and help everyone's fight against breast cancer.

Asakusa Kannon Ura Ichiyo Sakura Festival
One of the most popular festivals in Asakusa, this annual event attracts thousands of visitors each year for the splendid sights of ichiyo yaezakura in full bloom and the famous oiran (courtesan) geisha parade, which recreates the geisha processions held back in the Edo Period. There will also be a flea market, food stalls, another parade by elementary school students and more. A must-see event for anyone interested in Japanese culture.
