Valentine Aquarium
If you're celebrating Valentine's over the weekend, pin this place to your agenda. A giant heart-shaped aquarium and several other filled with rare fish are lit up in romantic colors for the event, which will surely add to the romantic mood. Pictures are allowed, so take as many as you can and color your 'gram in love colors.

Scent Of Spring
Bunkyo Plum Festival
Before the sakura season kicks in, it's time to enjoy the plums and there's no better place to do so than at the Yushima Tenmangu Shrine in Tokyo's Bunkyo ward. The approximately 300 plum trees are just starting to bloom, inviting visitors for a pleasant sight and scent. There will be also various performances, including a karaoke competition, traditional Japanese dances, shamisen and of course, lots of food stalls!

A New Year Spectacle
China Town's Chinese New Year 2019
Held for the 33rd time, Yokohama Chinatown's Chinese New Year celebration is now a popular annual tourist destination. While the famous New Year countdown is now over, this Saturday the area will be observing the spectacular parade (from 4 p.m.) and on Sunday, various life stages and lion dance performances. Expect much fun, loud sounds and spectacular performances. Happy New Year to everyone celebrating the Chinese style!

Snow Fever
Sagamiko Resort's Snow Park
We saw some snow in Tokyo recently but it wasn't enough to make a snowman or take the sleds out. Sakamiko Resort in Kanagawa, however, has got us covered — its Snow Park is a vast area (6,000 sq. meters) covered in snow where kids can play all day long, ride they sleds (or tubes!), build snowmen and enjoy the winter weather to the fullest. Best thing? It's so close to Tokyo that you can easily make it a day trip!
