Adachi Fireworks
The earliest fireworks show in Tokyo, this popular festival attracts over 630,000 people each year. Around 12,000 fireworks will be shot across the sky, creating an enchanting night to remember. As this is one of the most famous fireworks events in the city, prepare to battle the crowds.

Fuurin Matsuri
Hear the sound of the wind from all over Japan at the annual Nishi-Arai Daishi's Wind Chime Festival. Taiko performances, workshops, and picturesque sights of beautifully designed wind chimes will keep you entertained throughout the entire festival. If you visit this Sunday, you can join a special workshop to create your one-and-only wind chime to bring home. You can also buy one of the wind chimes at the festival as a souvenir.

Ueno Summer Festival

Creativity At Its Best
Asahi Sand Sculpture Exhibition
This rather unknown festival of creativity is the summer equivalent of the snow festival in Sapporo—if not even better. Come and see the amazing sand sculptures made by local and foreign artists: from giant cats to unbelievably realistic human monuments. This Saturday, the festival will culminate with special events, sand attractions, and more. An event that's definitely worth the over-an-hour trip from central Tokyo!

Sunnyside’s First Ever Japan Tour
Sunnyside, a band from Melbourne, Australia, is gearing up for their first ever Japan tour which includes two appearances at Japan's largest outdoor music event, Fuji Rock. The 6-piece funk-jazz collective is one of Australia's most exciting party bands selling out sweaty nightclubs and steamy jazz bars across the country. They've also played a stack of festivals back home in Australia. They will be rocking out 7 shows around Japan in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya and in Niigata for Fuji Rock.
