Cupcake Delivery by Yumm Cupcakery
Tokyo has a reputation as something of a cupcake desert. There are a few go-to places to get your fix, but it takes some research to find them. For some of the Tokyo area’s best cupcakes, delivered right to your door, look no further than Yumm Cupcakery.
Based out of Chiba and run an expat from Jamaica named Sasha, Yumm Cupcakery serves up moist, fluffy cupcakes in a wide array of gourmet flavors. There’s classic white vanilla, Yuzu Me (described as “moist yuzu cake stuffed with yummy yuzu curd with a yuzu cream cheese), and a deliciously tangy red velvet. And new, innovative items are always being added to the menu. I’m dying to try the margarita (“lime and orange cake with a tequila lime buttercream”). But the cream of the crop is the Hennessy C Me, a chocolate cupcake with a delicious kick of Hennessey cognac in the form of Hennessey infused cherries and buttercream frosting.
Orders can be placed online, and prices range from ¥1,500 to ¥1,650 for six cupcakes (the minimum order). The same flavors are also available in 20-centimeter and 30-centimeter cakes (¥4,000 to ¥6,000). Shipping costs an additional ¥960 to ¥1,260. Note that cupcakes can be shipped all over Japan, and can also be hand delivered. However, cakes are hand-delivery only. Orders should be made at least three days in advance of your event for cupcakes, and a week in advance for cakes.
Even if cakes and cupcakes aren’t your thing, don’t miss out on the chocolate chip cookies. They’re chewy, savory and full of gooey chocolate chunk goodness. An order of six (¥1,500) is well worth adding on or having on its own. To see all the yummy goodies available, check out Yumm Cupcakery’s order page.
