The Japan contingent of SWEA, the worldwide non-profit organization for Swedish and Swedish-speaking women, is again gearing up to hold its annual Christmas bazaar. At this popular event, guests can enjoy traditional Swedish food and drinks including glögg and gingerbread, buy Swedish handicrafts, and take in live musical performances. There will also be a raffle for some outstanding prizes.

Glšgg

This year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, November 30 at the Swedish embassy in Roppongi, and all proceeds raised will go towards rebuilding the Tohoku area devastated by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Last year roughly two million yen was raised, and this year the organizers hope the bazaar will be just as successful.
