This Week: At Home And Around Tokyo For Mar. 28-Apr. 3
Blossoms, Pets And The Outdoors
Tokyo's cherry blossoms are actually expected to be in full bloom during this week, which means get that obento ready, call your friends and plan a day in the park, eating, drinking and enjoying the splendid flower views! But just in case you're not doing hanami this week, or you're simply not into that kind of thing, there's still plenty of opportunities to enjoy: a pet fair, an outdoor event and a marine fair, just to name a few. Have a great spring weekend!

Organize Your Clothes And Closet
Until relatively recently, used clothes in Japan have had one fate: burnable garbage. If you’re from a country with a collection bin and a few secondhand shops in every neighborhood, this just feels wrong. Some people take suitcases full of castoffs back home rather than throw them out. Happily, the Japanese concept of mottainai (wastefulness) is catching on and leading to more options.
