Last December, Cathay Pacific became the first non-Japanese carrier to open a lounge in the international terminal of Haneda Airport. With a sleek yet soothing design, incredible attention to detail, and some of the finest in Asian hospitality, the lounge offers first and business class passengers a place to truly unwind before boarding their flight.

The lounge was designed using warm colors and natural materials, such as cherry wood walls, limestone floors, and highlights of green ceramic tiles and bronze. There are bespoke chairs along the windows, which flood the space with natural light from three sides and provide views of the runways and beyond. Other features include free wireless internet access throughout the lounge, work stations with dual operating system iMacs and printers, and an impressive dining area with plenty of food options. At 990 square meters, it is one of the largest Cathay Pacific lounges outside Hong Kong, and has seating for 190 people.

A highlight of the new lounge is its food and beverage service offering, with both Asian and Western options represented. The Noodle Bar, one of the most popular draws at the airline’s lounges in Hong Kong, has been recreated in Haneda, offering a variety of top-quality, freshly prepared noodles and noodle soups. Japanese breakfast foods and French toast are served until 11 a.m., and the Food Bar provides a wide selection of lighter items such as sandwiches, wraps, salads and quiches. Barista-made coffee, pastries, desserts, and made-to-order cocktails are also available.
