Hot Pot Date
Nabe Hut 2024
Surrounding a hot pot with your family and friends in the beautiful city of Yokohama is a perfect way to warm up the stone cold weekend. This nabe hut event can be enjoyed in two ways: one by making your own special nabe by choosing among the all-time favorite ingredients and broth, and another by leaving it up to the pros and taste the best of Japan's regional nabe pots. To spice up the event, a strolling guitarist will be going around singing songs per request so get there with a favorite tune ready in mind!

Sake And Snacks
Fuyusai Winter Festival
Head out this weekend to try delicious local sake and gourmet from all over Japan. If sake isn’t your thing, don’t be discouraged! This event will also feature a number of tasty local appetizers using seasonal meats, fish, vegetables, and mushrooms, showing off the characteristics of each region.

Snow Fever
Sagamiko Resort's Snow Park
We haven’t been able to see much snow in Tokyo yet this year. Sagamiko Resort in Kanagawa, however, has got us covered — its Snow Park is a vast area (6,000 sq. meters) covered in snow where kids can play all day long, ride they sleds (or tubes!), build snowmen and enjoy the winter weather to the fullest. Best thing? It's so close to Tokyo that you can easily make it a day trip! Plus there are heaps of other attractions around the resort you can enjoy as well.

Art And Ice
Art Link: Spin Genius
Each year the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse collaborates with an artist to help decorate their ice skating rink. This year, they've teamed up with contemporary artist Bibi Lei. Skate around the rink and take in all the motifs that spark hope, love and joy.

Hot Pot Fever
Regional Japanese Nabe Festival
Can't make it out to Yokohama? Head to Yoyogi Park instead. It's said in Japan that winter is incomplete without nabe (hot pot dish). In this gourmet event, prefectures will compete to win the title of the best nabe grand prix award of the year. From Miyagi’s monkfish hotpot to Fukuoka’s motsunabe, enjoy all local tastes in a single day. Spicing up the event are stage performances by idol groups and street performers.
