Some of us will be celebrating Thanksgiving this long weekend, some Labor Day, and some just their off-from-work freedom. Whatever you choose to do, there's plenty of good events to attend this week(end) where you can spend some quality time with friends, family, or even solo. Here are our top picks!
International Food Festival
Nishimachi International School Food Fair
Come hungry and be prepared to enjoy delectable dishes from around the world, including mouth-watering Korean BBQ, burgers, chicken and pork adobo, Thai green curry, Mexican quesadillas, a dessert buffet serving exclusive sweets from around the globe, and so much more! Iga Ueno Ninja Festa
This fun event gives you the chance to learn the secret acts of ninjas and show off your inner spy spirit. On Saturday and Sunday, the famous ninja group, Ashura, will be putting on a spectacle that impressed Obama and the entire world during the 2016 Iseshima Summit, while other kid-friendly events and shows will be entertaining the crowd throughout the three-day long event.

Yokohama Akarenga Christmas Market
The Yokohama Akarenga Christmas Market is one of the biggest and most popular markets of its kind in Japan, drawing tens of thousands of visitors annually. Gaigosai Festival
The annual festival ran by the students of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies is celebrating its 96th consecutive year! The event is all about embracing multiculturalism, and allows you to travel around the world without a passport. The event is packed full of world cuisine and traditional music events.

Japanese Green Tea Party
Try out some traditional Japanese tea with an enjoyable live koto music performance in Shimokitazawa this Sunday. The venue is held in a green tea shop and cafe that has been in business since 1978. The menu is incredibly varied with many different kinds of teas you can choose from. The event is technically free as long as you purchase a tea set from the set menu.
