Autumn in Japan is all about indulging in delicious food, marveling at gorgeous sceneries and immersing into culture and art. Tennozu Autumn Canal Fest
Tennozu, Tokyo’s hip waterfront area in eastern Shinagawa, is inviting visitors to "find a new hobby" this weekend at its artsy and foreign-inspired open marche festival that has pretty much everything for everyone. Browse through the food and drink market, watch live music shows, watch Soul Kitchen and Despicable Me 3 on a massive open-air cinema screen, let the kids do bouldering or join a dance battle, and have plenty of delicious bits and bites as you stroll down the canal. The perfect event for a full day date.

Female artists from Korea, Japan, China, Singapore and Taiwan gather to guide us into the changing landscapes of Asia's families, sexuality and gender, ultimately raising the question of what love really means. A mindblowing photo exhibition that could as well be one of the most powerful Tokyo has seen this year.

An event supported by NGOs aimed to encourage intercultural exchange, around 60 booths from around the world will gather in Yokohama this weekend for an experience like no other. Kodomo No Kuni Kids Autumn Festival
Kodomo no Kuni (lit, The Children Republic), one of Japan's largest amusement parks for the little ones, is hosting its annual autumn festival offering children three full days of various events and chances to go out and play. The last weekend to see this unique exhibition tracing the history of the city many of us call or second home. A must-see part of the exhibition are the several urban planning proposals that were submitted back in the day but never fully implemented.

Cosmos Flower Festival
If you missed it last weekend because of the typhoon, take advantage of the sunny weather this week. Showa Memorial Park is a wonderful place throughout the year, but it's in autumn when it embraces some of its most picturesque looks. The park's lovely cosmos flowers are now in full bloom, forming an endless carpet of colorful flora wherever your eyes set.
