Art, Plums, And Fun In The City
Whoa! This one is going to be a hella busy weekend for Tokyoties, especially if you're looking for art and inspiration. Chinese Spring Lantern Festival
Celebrating the last day of the Chinese New Year, beautiful message-written lanterns with will be lit and sent to the heavens with the help of a stunning traditional dance performance.

Spring Sights
Bunkyo Ume Matsuri
Before the sakura season kicks in, it's time to enjoy the plums and there's no better place to do so than at the Yushima Tenmangu Shrine in Tokyo's Bunkyo ward. The approximately 300 plum trees are just starting to bloom, inviting visitors for a pleasant sight and scent. There will be also various performances, including a karaoke competition, traditional Japanese dances, shamisen and of course, lots of food stalls!

Shibuya J Gospel Festival 2017
Saturday in the park is never a bad idea, especially if live music is involved. This weekend, aspiring artists and groups from all over Japan — and some from abroad — will gather to perform live gospel music. Unforgettable Faces
The People By Kishin
An exhibition revisiting the past five decades of the work of one of Japan's most renowned photographers, Shinoyama Kishin. Over 120 of Kishin's best works are displayed in five categories: God (the deceased), Star (the celebrities), Spectacle (dream worlds that take us to another dimension), Body (naked portraits) and Accidents (portraits of victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake). This is a unique chance to see rare portraits of famous Japanese and world celebrities, from Yukio Mishima and Hibari Misora to John Lennon and Vladimir Malakhov, as well as witness the struggles March 11 quake victims went through on individual basis.
