We've all seen the "100 years of fashion" videos making the rounds on social media in recent months, but a new one uploaded to YouTube this week shows 100 years of Japanese beauty in just over a minute. From the kimono styles of the early 1900s to the postwar era and ending with Harajuku kawaii, it is a fascinating look at the beauty trends that have been popular in Japan over the last century.
The video was made by Cut.com, and is part of a series of beauty videos focusing on various countries. Other past episodes have featured Korea, Iran, India, Russia and the United States.
