Festival Na Hiwahiwa O Hawaii 2017

Life In Japan's Mountains
Yamabito: Photo Exhibition
Tired of working for a printing company in Japan, photographer Osamu Sato traveled to a small village in the mountains of Gumma prefecture where he discovered a group of Japanese people living a life as if from over a hundred years ago. He began documenting their slow life through pictures in the early 1970s and is now displaying 20 of the rarest he took in this unique exhibition. A rarely seen sight of Japan, through these photos you will discover a life rarely known even to locals.
