Alexander Wang Collaborates with The Weeknd on WangXO
Alexander Wang has joined forces with Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd on a new capsule collection of casual, street-inspired fashion items. Produced under the artist's brand XO, WangXO is the latest collaborative effort by The Weeknd and Wang. In addition to custom-made Wang trousers and vests, the singer is wearing the pieces from the capsule collection on his "Madness" tour.
The WangXO collection features an abstract print that was created through a process of multiple idea exchanges between the two artists. Incorporating lyrics from The Weeknd’s songs and the XO logo, it represents the aesthetic of the artist’s second album, Beauty Behind the Madness. Available styles include t-shirts, sweatshirts, a bandana, and a customized version of Alexander Wang’s popular Eden sneakers.
WangXO went on sale November 17 at Alexander Wang’s New York flagship store, and online on November 18. In Japan, it will be available starting Saturday, December 12 at Dover Street Market Ginza and the Alexander Wang Aoyama store.
