The event hosts a series of talks, seminars, live shows and exciting parties with the purpose of raising awareness about the needs of Japan's LGBT community. The highlights of the week are the Pride Festival and Parade, which annually attract thousands of people. If you believe in love and equality, here's your chance to prove it!

Bills Pride Celebration at Omotesando

Celebrate Pride at Bills Omotesando. For one afternoon, see drag performances by the likes of Labianna Pinklady, Kosmic Sans and Sasha B Savannah. Come as you are and treat yourself to an afternoon of great performers and tasty treats. From April 20 to 28, all sales from avocado toast orders will be given to ReBit, an NPO that supports the LGBTQ+ community initiatives.

Matthew Bourne's Romeo + Juliet

Based upon the book by William Shakespeare, watch this classic tale come to life on stage. Featuring the performances of Paris Fitzpatrick, Jackson Fisch and Rory Macleod as Romeo and Monique Jonas, Hannah Kremer and Bryony Pennington as Juliet, you won't want to miss out.

All You Can Eat Vegan

Tokyo Vegan Gourmet Festival

The largest vegan festival in Tokyo, here you can find not only all-you-can-eat vegan food from across Japan, but also booths selling natural, organic and gluten-free products, in addition to a number of great events, including open-air yoga and more.

Walk The Garden

Flower Garden Yokohama

Witness Yokohama's Red Brick Warehouse turn into a massive (and gorgeous) garden under this year's event theme for this popular annual event. Launched since 2007 to commemorate the then-fifth anniversary of the renewal of Yokohama's symbol, this annual garden of some 14,200 blooming flowers is the perfect venue for a pleasant stroll amid blooming flowers and greenery. There will be many events and food as well, including, of course, edible flowers and blossom-inspired gifts to take back home.

As well as helping the environment, you can also enjoy a guided eco-walking tour along the riverside and learn about the wildlife on the water’s edge. A huge gourmet festival gathering delicious dishes from Setouchi will be held in Ueno Park this year! At the event, you will be able to enjoy eating seasonal oysters in a variety of different forms whilst sipping on local sake. A stage event featuring celebrities with relation to Setouchi will also be held.
