If you’ve checked out Kids Weeks and your inner child won’t break free, it may be time to change up your routine. If you don’t have the budget, don’t worry. There are two eclipses in August which can shift your life. The first is a partial lunar eclipse on Aug. 8, starting after midnight. No need to wait up! The Moon is high-tech, so you’ll receive cutting-edge insights in your dreams. The second is a total solar eclipse on Aug. 22. It impacts what you share with your partner, spouse or someone with whom you run a business. If you’re single, it puts the focus on money owed to you. Either way — you’re in for a rebirth that will occur over the next few months. So you can relax, after all!

AQUARIUS February 16 – March 11

Not only is August hot and summery, but there are two eclipses. These signal endings and beginnings. The first is a lunar eclipse on Aug. 8. You get to choose what you would like to do, or at least, the Earth shadows the reflection of the Moon long enough for you to figure it out. Then there’s a total solar eclipse on Aug. 22. It’s not seen in Tokyo, but it still impacts your chart. If you’re feeling wilted by the Sun’s heat, this dousing helps your responses be the guide for choices you make. Is a partner calling all the shots? Do they receive acclaim while you hold reality together? Events tend to pan out within three months of an eclipse. Watch this space.

PISCES March 12 – April 18

Color: Midnight show
Sound: Summer crickets
Daily antidote: Say hello to a planet

August is supposed to be about fun in the sun. Is it? There are two eclipses this month to get things sorted. The first is the lunar eclipse on Aug. 8. It begins in the wee hours. Unless you’re a night owl, you may have to see it in your dreams. Something from your past is about to be released or revealed. If you can’t view an eclipse, the stars still hold meaning. This is true with the solar eclipse on Aug. 22. It can’t be seen, but it connects with your chart. This one brings light and heart to your work. If you have your own business, you may hire an assistant. Or you may find yourself volunteering for a cause you believe in. Events tend to turn around in approximately three months. Are you ready for the next step?

ARIES April 19 – May 13

Color:  Jewel box red
Sound: Petite piccolo
Daily antidote: Learn how to French press

Summer is famous for daydreams and getaways. If you’re stuck in the city, you can still escape. Two star gates arrive in August. On offer are not one, but two eclipses. The first is a lunar eclipse Aug. 8. Eclipses can reroute things for a while. What you plan may go in a different direction, especially when meeting up with friends or joining events. Then the total solar eclipse is on Aug. 22. It’s not visible from Tokyo, but its effects are the same. It entices you to take a creative leap, avoid conformity (unless it pleases you) or spend time with kids. You may also consider jumping into a romantic pursuit. Do any of these appeal?

TAURUS May 14 – June 19

Color: Spice brown
Sound: Tea kettle whistle
Daily antidote: Rub a stone

August is a betting time, when the stars undo what’s expected. Celestial gateways open, offering direct access to your destiny. Two eclipses rearrange what may be on your list. Busy having fun at Shangri-La Hotel? You can enjoy that too. The lunar eclipse is on Aug. 8. It starts after midnight so you may sleep right through it. Nice to know you can soak it up in your dreams. It assists moving to the next level at work. Then the solar eclipse, not visible in Tokyo, impacts ideas around how and where you live. It invites deep desires to rise to the surface. An eclipse takes about three months to kick in. Anything you can do to clear your backlog makes it easier to move forward.

GEMINI June 20 – July 20

What would you like to see as summer catches its tail? Something out of this world — in the heavens, perhaps? Two star gates arrive this month. If you’re awake, the first occurs after midnight. Not staying up ‘til the wee hours for the Aug. 8 lunar eclipse? Don’t worry. There is a quantum leap which occurs, even as you sleep. You “see” what you’re here for, and what’s worth getting fussed about. Where do you want to invest your energies? Powerful feelings become the priority for making decisions. Then the solar eclipse on Aug. 22 — not seen in Tokyo — moves to a prominent place in your chart. Your words spark and grow, keeping yourself and others safe. Similar to the way light makes shadows disappear, you rearrange the security landscape.

CANCER July 21 – August 9

Color: Wanderlust lilac
Sound: Ice freezing
Daily antidote: Introduce logic to intuition

Dear Moonchild, this month waits for you with open arms. August’s two eclipses impact your chart. The lunar eclipse Aug. 8 starts after midnight. Since you may be asleep, dreams guide you towards pent-up desires. A transition is coming. If you would like to invest in your psyche or do some deep healing, this eclipse starts the ball rolling. Once you jump in, you’ll see your sexy self revitalized. Then the solar eclipse on Aug. 22, not viewed in Tokyo, can be a life-changer. Why? It obscures your beliefs just long enough to turn a corner, inviting you to take risks. A financial reward is seeded, with growth over the next three months.

LEO August 10 – September 10

Color: Cognac blush
Sound: Fireworks festival
Daily antidote: Connect to your inner spark

This month is yours to experience. You could rest and let things sink in, but you probably won’t. August is like a weathervane in solar winds. If you’re up, down and all around — just keep going. The lunar eclipse on Aug. 8 is a push for “what you’ve done for others.” Leos spend so much of their time giving. Why be asked for more? Organizing, building confidence, leaving things better than when you arrived. In the midst, it’s about receiving, too. A partner or spouse is the best “outer” symbol of the self-love you feel. The solar eclipse on Aug. 22 can’t be viewed, but it still counts. Financial and physical fitness are invited for a revamp. This kick-off takes shape over the next three months. Leos are leaders. You can do this.

You may find moments where you “get” the big picture. Yet equally important is the minutiae. Your evolution, purpose and the current trip on the planet depend on it. While you may know you’re here for a cosmic reason, you still attend to daily details that help it happen. The lunar eclipse Aug. 8 begins after midnight. If you’re up in the wee hours, you may see it. It affects your subconscious mind, viewed or not. Your work is a focus, as is finishing up karmic projects. You may think yours need attention or it may be a family line or economic belief that’s is in flux. The solar eclipse Aug. 22 then arrives. Not seen in Tokyo, it’s still potent. Dreams show up more easily. The next three months will be very telling. Choose your words and actions carefully.

LIBRA October 31 – November 22

Color: Wild child denim
Sound: Lollipop laughter
Daily antidote: Buff those nails

An eclipse has a lot to do with intent. The lunar eclipse on Aug. 8 starts after midnight. You may want to keep a journal or tablet nearby. If you wake up, you can write what you’ve been dreaming. The Moon’s focus for Libra is love. It’s that simple — and complicated. Your creative juices are heightened. You could have questions about kids. Do you want them? Already have them? Is there a blended family in your future? Taking a speculative chance may be on the horizon. Then the solar eclipse Aug. 22 arrives — though not seen in Tokyo. Still a part of your chart, this star gate is in a beautiful position to bring hopes and dreams within reach. Keep your mind open for that which others can’t see. What is started in August reaches its height in about three months.

SCORPIO November 23 – November 29

Color: Biscotti beige
Sound: Hornet humming
Daily antidote: Change mascara color

Everything is not in crisis. Those stressed by work or family may be carrying too much. If you step away from your phone or tablet, stroll along Tokyo Bay or catch up with friends (in person) — you’ll see life carries on. This is a bit like an eclipse, of which there are two in August. They open a doorway for another “reality” to enter. The lunar eclipse Aug. 8 impacts your chart. It’s after midnight, so no need to wait up! Insights and perception are heightened. Your position can be strengthened. Then the solar eclipse Aug. 22 activates what you’ve been wanting to change, possibly blocked by others’ needs. You’re able to schedule more “me” time. The effects of events happening now show more clearly in three months.

OPHIUCHUS November 30 – December 17

Color: Mint green
Sound: Pics arriving on phone
Daily antidote: Butterfly hand shadows

People put a lot of store in eclipses. They’re fun and mystifying, opening new doorways. The eclipse kicks things off, with effects showing up over the next three months. The lunar eclipse Aug. 8 begins after midnight. Unless you’re a night owl, you may not actually see it. The Moon governs feelings and values. If you choose to light a candle or write down an intent, you can tap into a deeper “you.” The solar eclipse on Aug. 22 is not seen in Tokyo. Why give it focus? It offers the option to “upgrade.” While conscious “Sun” energy is temporarily offline, you can realign yourself to soothe, strengthen and define. Take that trip, call that person who keeps crossing your mind. Use these star gates to spark up your last bit of summer!

SAGITTARIUS December 18 – January 18

Color: Rose kiss
Sound: Water bubbling
Daily Antidote: Let go of a complicated thought

If things are not as you’d like, it’s easy to wonder what happened. Or feel frustrated you couldn’t change it. You’re part of a bigger picture currently evolving. Your ideas are integrated, even if no one seems to be listening. The lunar eclipse Aug. 8 is inspirational. Questions around sharing and ownership become clear. Resolution settles over the next three months. Then the total solar eclipse, not seen in Tokyo, occurs Aug. 22. It holds power in your chart, showing where you’re happiest, opening doors you might not have considered. It is a flame to your flower, adding color and warmth to your friendships. With your spiritual streak, you’re likely to be bumped up. Having an upgrade is a compliment from the universe!
