Tokyo Coding Club Summer Stem 2021
Tokyo Coding Club will be providing overnight summer camps this year in and outside of Tokyo by partnering with hotels in Hakuba, Nagano Prefecture and Myoko, Niigata Prefecture to offer science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) classes in programming, robotics, design, animation and video editing combined with outdoor activities. Lessons and activities will be conducted in English by professional instructors. This isn’t just a normal STEM camp, it’s an experience unlike any other. Registrations are now open!

Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival
The Shonan Star Mall shopping area will be decorated with large colorful streamers that cascade from the ceiling, making it an amazing photo spot. All stalls and road blockage has been canceled but definitely still worth visiting for the colorful tanabata view.

Walk The Light
Tanabata Washi Candle Night
Organized by a group of university students for a project called We Love Japan this spectacular event features 3,500 candles placed in paper lanterns, which are lined to form a Milky Way path toward Zojoji Temple. Each lantern carries a handwritten message, a wish, or a drawing, written by children at welfare facilities in Tokyo and Tohoku. Come witness the lights and make your own wish as you walk the Milky Way!

Exhibition: Penguins & Goldfish 2021
Goldfish have been familiar to the common people since the Edo period as one of the cooling symbols of summer in Japan. This exhibition will focus on the color and shape of goldfish alongside cute penguins. The works of aesthetic fishy imagery and illustrations will not only capture the beauty of summer but also cool us down during the hot and humid weather.

Bloom In Sea
Flower Aquarium by Naked
Watch the lushest flowers bloom under the sea for a digital visual celebration of life and beauty. The highlight of the event will be the two dolphin performances, which combine extravagant light shows, flower illuminations and spectacular music. The rest of the aquarium will also be covered in flowers, including the 9-meter-wide and 35-meter-deep jellyfish zone. You can even get flower aquarium-inspired drinks at the adjoining café.
