Online Event: Kawasaki Halloween 2020
One of the biggest Halloween events near Tokyo is going online this year and extended to the whole month of October. Take part in the event by dressing up and uploading photos or videos to your social media sites with #oneworldhalloween and #kawahallo2020. There will also be prizes for the best costumes (and more), the biggest one being ¥500,000! No wonder why the costume quality at this event is that high!

Digital Dance
Online Event: Tahiti Festa 2020
The Tahiti Festival has been held in Odaiba every year since 2011. This year, they will be delivering a dance stage online to prevent infection of the coronavirus. This weekend teams of Tahitian dance groups active in Japan will be grooving it out all day. You’ll be able to access the dancers from your digital device, and even join in for a boogy from your home if you choose to!

Every Three Years
Yokohama Triennale 2020 Afterglow
Yokohama Triennale is an international exhibition of contemporary art that takes place in Yokohama once every three years. In addition to exhibits of works by artists who are active internationally, the triennale introduces a broad selection of budding artists and the latest trends in contemporary art. The theme word this year is “Afterglow”, chosen by Raqs Media Collective to reference how, in our everyday lives, we unknowingly experience the residues of light sparked at the beginning of our time. Roses Are Red
Kyu-Furukawa Garden Roses Bloom
Although the annual Rose Festival is canceled this year, the park still invites guests to take a pleasant stroll amid plenty of beautiful roses at this Western-style Japanese garden. The venue is well known for its infusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics; the western-style building brings back the 1900s British taste, while the garden reflects the authenticity of the Japanese "Wa" spirit. All of this amidst the sight and scent of gorgeous roses!

Worth The Climb
Takao Beer Mount
Just a short walk from the end of Mt. Takao Cable Car Station, the Mt. Takao Beer Mount will open again this year at an observation facility with an altitude of 488 meters. There will be an all-you-can-drink of beers, wines and cocktails available for up to 90 minutes and an all-you-can-eat buffet too! To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, all guests are asked to wear masks, disinfect their hands and follow social distancing protocols. All workers will be equipped with masks and face shields.
