Iga Ueno Ninja Festa
If you've ever wondered what's it like to experience the life of a ninja, this is your event. This unique event gives you the chance to learn the secret acts of ninjas and show off your inner spy spirit! Japanese Art And The World
Art Exhibition: Hokusai and Japonisme
One of the most renowned Japanese artists of all times, Katsushika Hokusai is known for his major influence in art history, in and out of Japan. The exhibition examines how Hokusai contributed to the development of modern Western art. On display are 220 works of Western art, 40 color woodblock prints, and 70 woodblock-printed books.

Scent Of Autumn
Jingugaien Ginkgo Festival
Held every year in the fall season, the Ginkgo Festival is back again in Jingugaien. The marvelous yellow leaves along the ginkgo alley is one sight not to be missed! The festival is also known for its variety of food, this year with 44 vendors altogether selling everything from Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and grilled oyster to warm drinks fit for the season. A perfect event to taste, feel, and smell autumn all at once.

A Tranquil Cultural Experience

Local Japanese Nabe Festival
It's said in Japan that winter is incomplete without nabe (hot pot dish). In this gourmet event, prefectures will compete to win the title of the best nabe grand prix award of the year. From Miyagi’s monkfish hot pot to Fukuoka’s motsu nabe, enjoy all local tastes in a single day. Spicing up the event are stage performances by idol groups and street performers.

Reborn Art Festival in Tokyo
Held in Ishinomaki city this summer as Tohoku’s first comprehensive festival of "art" "music" and "food" aimed to raise awareness towards the ongoing effects of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake, the Reborn Art Festival is now in Tokyo. The contemporary artworks by contributing artists make us think about how we interact with each other in the world we live in today. Along with artworks, documentary photographs and videos will also be up on display.
