Admit it. You love music from the 80s and sometimes hold private dance parties at home, where you sing along to Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Blondie and Prince. You may even pull out a few Flashdance moves if you're feeling particularly saucy. Well, now no longer have to limit your epic dance sessions to your own home, as Tokyo's popular 80s disco event is back this April.

Originally held in 2014, this 80s dance party was a huge hit among the city’s international community. It is staged in the grand ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, a 1,000-square-meter, rectangular-shaped, pillar-free venue with a 6.6-meter-high ceiling. The ballroom will be converted into a lively nightclub for the event, complete with glittering mirror balls and 80s-themed decorations, inviting guests to dance the night away to classics from one of the greatest decades in music history.

DJ Osshy, a pioneer of the 80s disco movement with more than 30 years of experience, will spin a lineup of the greatest dance grooves from the era. Ticket prices also include an open bar serving sparkling, red and white wines, beer, whisky, cocktails and soft drinks. Snacks such as veggie sticks and hummus, smoked salmon and avocado wraps, pizza, pasta, and fish and chips will be served from 8 to 10:30 p.m. In addition, each ticket holder will receive 10 percent off at all restaurants and bars at the Grand Hyatt on the night of the event, making it easy to keep the party going even after the last song has been played.
