Are you looking to decorate a new home, or just update your current one? For most of us, as renters in Tokyo, often one of the easiest ways to give a space a new look is through fabrics. For the finicky, they're easy to change frequently, and they won't anger landlords with holes in the walls. For just a few more days, Idee stores in Jiyugaoka, Futako Tamagawa and Tokyo Midtown are offering 10 percent off order-made fabric items. The timing has never been better for a home makeover.

Idee has a wide variety of fabric samples to choose from, including domestic brands and many imported lines, with an especially impressive selection of European fabrics. How you use these is dependent on your own imagination—will you go for curtains, blinds, cushions, a bed cover, or even a rug? The possibilities are vast, but you better hurry: the campaign only runs through next Monday, October 7. For more details or to find an Idee store near you, take a look at the company’s official website (Japanese only, but you’re savvy enough to get through it with the help of Google Translate).
