Recipe: Sweet Tofu Chocolate Mousse For One
The Ultimate Guilt-Free Treat
You're forgiven for monopolizing this dessert.
If you read my Savvy Tokyo bio you’ll see that I honestly traveled to Japan for the tofu. This Japanese creation is an incredible substitute for dairy in all things creamy: dressings, sauces, and various desserts. In addition, it’s high in protein, contains all eight essential amino acids, is a good source of iron, calcium, and manganese and the cherry-on-top: is generally lower in calories than most dairy products.
And that is why I love using tofu to make my own desserts (yes, just for me because I deserve this!) — the guilt level is incomparable and so is the taste! If you love the taste of soy as much as I do and simultaneously happen to be looking for a quick dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth on a lazy Sunday afternoon, then give this super easy vegan chocolate mousse recipe a go!
Oh — and did I mention? This tofu mousse is vegan, gluten-free, refined-sugar free, nut-free, and 100 percent delicious. #JustSayin
