Days are colder and nights are getting longer, but this doesn’t stop us from going out to explore the city! From Nishimachi International School's annual food fair to international fests across the city and a cat-dress up fun event, this weekend's events will help you beat the cold by melting your heart and soul! Stay warm and enjoy!

International Food Festival

50th Annual Nishimachi International School Food Fair

Come hungry and be ready for delectable dishes from around the world, including homemade lasagne, tiramisu, Indian delights, Korean BBQ, ramen, spring rolls, chili dogs, German sausages, and Irish stew! There'll be all sorts of activities for the kids like face painting, crafts and games, and entertainment galore with music and performances. For moms and dads, there will be beer on tap, plus a few stronger drinks. A great event for the whole family!

United We Stand

Japan Indonesia Citizens Friendship Festival

Held for the seventh consecutive year, this festival is in celebration of the friendship between both countries. What can do that better than great food, performances and opps for a shared good time? Dishes of Indonesian restaurants from all over the Kanto region will be served in food trucks, so come ready to taste plates after plates of nasi goreng while watching beautiful dance performances.

European Masterworks

Detroit Institute of Arts Exhibition

Following its successful run in Nagoya and Osaka, the Detroit Institute of Arts Exhibition – European Masterworks from Across the Atlantic Ocean is now on show at the Ueno Royal Museum. The event features 52 of the institute's most popular masterpieces, including artworks by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso, and many others.
