Kim Kardashian Has Released A Cherry Blossom-Themed Makeup Line

Here's to another sakura-related product we can get behind —7 months early

Move over sakura Coca Cola, Instagram has never looked more pretty in pink.

If you’ve lived in Japan for a while you’ll probably be familiar with the ridiculous array of cherry blossom-themed products that start blooming (gettit?) across store shelves as soon as Valentine’s Day is done.

Well now we don’t have to wait for our sakura fix because kween of cosmetics Kim Kardashian West just announced her new KKW Beauty line, dubbed the “Cherry Blossom Collection” which launches today.

Sharing the news on Instagram of the new collection earlier this week, Kim released a series of sakura-filled selfies which put our own drunken hanami shots to shame (though if you do want to see some gorgeous cherry blossom pictures, check out the entries to our My Tokyo, My Sakura contest).

Featuring a largely, you guessed it, pink palette, the collection includes 10 shades of eyeshadow, eight lipsticks, three liners and three blushes — the first time Kim has released a blush since she started her cosmetics line in June 2017.

The Kardashian clan (plus entourage) was in Japan on a family vacay for cherry blossom season this year, traveling to Tokyo and Kyoto while filming their reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kim arrived in truly extra fashion with bright pink dyed hair, based on a character from the anime “Darling in the Franxx”.

Though she hasn’t mentioned the trip as the direct inspiration for her new collection, there’s no place that does cherry blossoms quite like Japan. Here’s hoping she comes up with a line of makeup that doesn’t melt on your face during its sweaty summers soon.
